Social media algorithms have me getting back to the roots of the early www when blogging and RSS feeds were the hot new tech. I spun up a Digital Ocean droplet with their 1-click WordPress image (droplet), modified my godaddy dns to point to the new server, and setup SSL with certbot and here we are. Back to blogging without any fear of an algorithm choosing or not choosing to show or not show my content. I’m now back on the Internet with a simple $7/mo setup.
My goal and plan is to use this more as a means to post my thoughts and perspectives on tech, homesteading, my art, and whatever else I CHOOSE to publish.
