Calling Dan Newhouse over proposed closing of Mid Valley Hospital in Omak, WA.

Calling Dan Newhouse over proposed closing of Mid Valley Hospital in Omak, WA.

This morning I woke up, made my coffee and decided to call my House representative, Dan Newhouse, to voice my strong objection over the president’s Medicaid spending cuts, a part of the so-called “big beautiful spending bill.”

I object to this proposal and which includes closing 14 hospitals in Washington state, one of which is in Okanogan County, where I live. Okanogan County is the largest geographic county in the state with the lowest average household income.

Why would you choose to penalize and punish the most vulnerable rural population in the state to try to save some money? How does this benefit the poorest rural population in the state? Shame on you for supporting this bill, Mr. Newhouse!

I OBJECT and urge, Representative Newhouse, to take action to amend, change, and remove the provisions calling for the closing of Mid Valley Hospital.

If you made it this far, maybe you can also make your voice heard. I will be calling Dan every day to make my voice and opinion crystal clear and I urge you to do the same.
