Gallon a day.

Gallon a day.

I’ve been staring at the lumber yard imprint on the plywood on the ceiling of the cabin for about a decade now. The stamp says Imported from Canada, June 20, 2000,  so that’s the year the cabin was built.

The inside walls and ceiling plywood sheets have past mold and mildew residue and are starting to show their age with some dry rot and knots that are starting to pop out. As a result, I decided to apply a Kilz mold and mildew resistant paint primer ($40 a gallon) to seal and make the surfaces mold and mildew resistant.

I’ve been working at a pace of 1 gallon per day for last four days and have 1 gallon left. I bought out the supply at Home Depot and had them order another case which will be in on the 26th.

Here are some progress pics as I’ve made my way across the ceiling and the main walls in the cabin.
