Metallic Eruption

Metallic Eruption is a two-piece series of 11×14 interference acrylic paintings exploring the tension between organic growth and luminous metallic energy. Each piece builds from a dense undergrowth of dark, layered forms — then erupts upward with bursts of gold, copper, and interference light that shift and shimmer as the viewing angle changes. Painted at the homestead in the upper Tunk Valley, WA using Golden Series Interference acrylics, these works reward close inspection in natural light where the paint's color-shifting properties are most alive.
