Iron Mountain Ranch โ Tunk Valley, Riverside, WA. Please read this page before or upon arrival. Wildfire is a serious risk in Okanogan County from June through October.

Evacuation Routes
Know your route before you need it. The primary route takes you south and out of the valley quickly. A secondary route exists if the primary is blocked by fire.
- 1. Head south on the property access road toward the main gate.
- 2. Turn right (south) onto Tunk Valley Road. Drive approximately 8 miles south.
- 3. Merge onto US-97 south toward Omak or Okanogan for shelter and emergency services.
- 4. Proceed to the designated meeting point (see below).
- 1. If the southern route is blocked, head north on Tunk Valley Road approximately 4 miles toward Riverside.
- 2. Follow emergency responder directions once you reach the town of Riverside.
Located on the north end of Tunk Valley Road at the junction with US-97.
If the community center is inaccessible, meet at the Riverside Fire Station (junction of US-97 and SR-20).
Note: Cell service in the upper Tunk Valley is limited or nonexistent. Download offline maps (Google Maps or Maps.me) before your stay. The property has Starlink internet โ use it to check conditions before heading out.
Action Plan
If You See Smoke or Fire
Report the fire before anything else. Give your location: "Iron Mountain Ranch, Upper Tunk Valley Road, Riverside WA 98849."
Notify the host via your booking platform or the contact number provided at check-in. Do not delay evacuation to do this.
Take your ID, medications, phone, charger, and pets. Leave everything else. Close doors and windows as you go.
Wildfires move fast. Take the primary evacuation route south on Tunk Valley Road. Do not return until authorities clear the area.

Guest Fire Safety Responsibilities
- Check this page or ask the host about current fire danger and burn ban status before lighting any fire.
- Never leave a campfire unattended. Fully extinguish with water โ if it is too hot to touch, it is too hot to leave.
- Only use the designated fire ring on the property. Do not create new fire pits.
- Obey all county and state burn bans. Violations result in significant fines and possible criminal liability.
- Do not drive or park vehicles over dry grass. Catalytic converters can ignite dry vegetation.
- Fireworks of any kind are prohibited on the property at all times.
- If you smell smoke or see visible flames, treat it as an emergency even if it appears distant.
- Know your evacuation route before you need it. Download offline maps before arriving.
