Evacuation
Evacuation Routes
Know your route before you need it. Study both routes when you arrive so you can act quickly in an emergency.
- 1. Head toward the property gate and exit onto Stage Coach Trail.
- 2. Follow Stage Coach Trail back out the way you came in, take a left on Tunk Creek Road, and head down the valley toward the town of Riverside.
Warning: Do NOT turn right onto Crawfish Vista — it is a private HOA road that dead-ends after steep switchbacks. Stay left on Stage Coach Trail → Tunk Creek Road. - 3. Once in Riverside, follow instructions from Okanogan County Emergency Management via their Facebook page or local emergency responders on scene.
- 1. If the route to Riverside is blocked, exit the property gate onto Stage Coach Trail.
- 2. Follow the alternate route through Aeneas Valley toward the community of Aeneas.
- 3. Follow directions from emergency responders or Okanogan County Emergency Management once clear of the area.
Cell service: Verizon, AT&T, and Cricket Wireless work at the property in the Upper Tunk Valley. T-Mobile does not. Parts of the drive through the Lower Valley have no cell service — satellite messaging (iPhone SOS, Garmin, etc.) may be your only option in those spots. Download offline maps (Google Maps or Maps.me) before your stay. The property has Starlink internet — use it to check conditions before heading out.
Action Plan
If You See Smoke or Fire
Report the fire before anything else. Give your location: "Iron Mountain Ranch, Upper Tunk Valley Road, Riverside WA 98849."
Notify the host via your booking platform or the contact number provided at check-in. Do not delay evacuation to do this.
Take your ID, medications, phone, charger, and pets. Leave everything else. Close doors and windows as you go.
Wildfires move fast. Exit the property gate, follow Stage Coach Trail toward Riverside. Do not return until authorities clear the area.
