Gold Vortex with Red Loops

A swirling vortex of hammered gold dominates the center of this intense 4"×4" miniature, ringed by deep amethyst purple at the edges and animated by rapid red loops and neon chartreuse marks that race across the surface like electrical discharge. Teal and dark violet marks anchor the composition while the gold interference ground shifts from warm bronze to bright metallic depending on the light. The painted edges continue the purple interference treatment, making every side of this piece part of the work. Bold, dense, and surprisingly complex for its size — this one rewards close inspection.
